BE DSO Activities for Beam Facilities
The BE DSO, supported by the BE Safety Unit team, intervenes in :
Defining and approving technical and operational framework for the safe operation of the beam facilities:
- EIS: Element Important for Safety
- Safety Permits
- Procedures, guidelines and instructions
Performing controls of the beam facilities:
- Validation of the access safety system (a.k.a. DSO tests)
- Verification of the LHC Experiment sealing for powering phase II in the LHC machine
- Checks that the risk control measures are implemented as per specification (a.k.a. Safety File Compliance)
